The Ukrainian question: The real question of Europe

Lieutenant General e.a. Pavlou Christou,
President of the Hellenic Association of Friends of Crimea
The stability of the international system and its balance is defined in terms of proximity or distance to the onset or likelihood of a major regional war. Conflict that does not end in war redeploys forces and balances. We are at the center of the structural crisis of correlation that leads to limited alternatives and direct choices.
The dependent European regional subsystem is enhancing the survival and expansion of American aggression by mistakenly believing that it is safeguarding its interests. The directed "conflict" between Europe and Russia is dictated by the American strategy, as the EU loses the opportunity to utilize Russia's wealth-producing resources and raw materials to develop into a real superpower that will "oppose" the Americans equally. It is imperative for the EU to strengthen the idea of an axis of cooperation with Russia.
With these elements, the directly involved protagonists of world power come to control Eurasia. All this intertwined geopolitical landscape in all sectors aims to turn the Eurasian space into a major source of energy wealth for the functioning of the world economy. The Eurasian area and its wealth will greatly shape the energy map of the 21st century. Controlling the instability of this vast region of high geostrategic interest is central to the global security system, and the United States is focusing its efforts on securing strategic footholds. in the area.
These efforts were manifested in the first phase with the external adaptation (enlargement) of NATO and with the full activation of the "Partnership for Peace" cooperation. Thus, the Euro-Atlantic community, having reached a set of principles of cooperation (Europe-America), is moving "united" for the control of Eurasia. It is unknown when and where European and American interests will clash.
Maybe Eurasia and its control efforts will eventually push the EU to decide that it can go it alone, without US tutelage, with enlargement of its members and Russian support and cooperation. This is, after all, the goal of Russian politics, which hopes for a revival of its economy, for the resolution of internal political and social issues, so that when the time comes it can join Europe and play "on equal terms." with America on the international stage.
