Greek Politician Urged Kiev to Abandon the Adventure in Relation to Crimea

Politician and public figure, former Deputy Minister of Defense of Greece Costas Isichos called on the Ukrainian authorities to abandon the "dangerous adventure" associated with the holding of the international summit "Crimean Platform".
Earlier, the Greek Club of Friends of Crimea sent an open letter to the President of Greece Katerina Sakellaropulu with an appeal not to participate in the summit of the "Crimean Platform", which the authorities in Kiev intend to hold to discuss the issue of "returning" control over Crimea. According to the authors of the appeal, among whom was Isychos, the organizers of the summit are striving for a new cold war.
“I think that there are a lot of people in Ukraine who are in favor of normalizing relations with Russia and with Crimea, whose multinational population voluntarily decided to join the Russian Federation in 2014. The Crimean Platform project is a dangerous adventure that leads to a dead end. I hope, sooner or later, the common sense inherent in the Ukrainian people will prevail and its voice will be heard by Ukrainian politicians, "Isyhos told RIA Novosti.
In his opinion, the current authorities of Ukraine and its elite are hostages and at the same time victims of the hegemony of the United States, exactly as it had previously happened with other countries of Eastern Europe.
