Dragana Trifković: Why did the Russians enter Ukraine and is Europe entering the new Middle Ages?

Dragana Trifković: Why did the Russians enter Ukraine and is Europe entering the new Middle Ages?

Writes: Dragana Trifković, director of the Center for Geostrategic Studies

"Russia has started a war in Ukraine" - scream the Western media. What a rotten lie. The war in Ukraine began in 2014 after an organized coup, another in a series directed by the United States.

Intoxicated by false hopes, the unfortunate Ukrainians did not realize that they were just a toy in the hands of a tyrant from Washington. In addition to their enormous resources and potentials, they became beggars at the gates of the EU, where no one intended to receive them.

For thirty years, Western powers have been spreading anti-Russian propaganda in Ukraine through NGOs and the media, wanting what Brzezinski considered necessary to separate Ukraine from Russia.

And they did not hesitate in that, neither to support the neo-Nazi government nor to silently watch how it carries out genocide against the Russian population in Ukraine. Russians and Ukrainians are one people and literally every family in Russia has relatives in Ukraine. But why would anyone in London and Washington be interested in that, when they have their "strategic" goals.

The current media anti-Russian hysteria, which is being spread by the Western media, reminds me of the 1990s and the persecution of Serbs. In that campaign, terrorists became victims, and victims were terrorists - deprived of any opportunity to say one word to the world in their defense. Because the verdict was already written in advance. Special operations and media shootings served that well. Then Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria ... all in the same scenario. For how many decades has the world been suffering the violence of Americans who introduced the law of force instead of international law? And all under the guise of the struggle for democracy, human rights and freedoms ...

War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is power," the far-sighted Orwell wrote in his 1984 book. The extent to which Western totalitarianism has gone is shown by the fact that Orwell was censored and declared a persona non grata recently.

Hypocrisy and lies have reached their peak. I had the opportunity in 2014 and 2015 to visit Donbass several times. The war was ongoing. Confused and frightened people showed us demolished houses, monuments, affected hospitals and kindergartens, torn down churches and fresh graves.

It was not clear to them why they were being bombed by the army of the country in which they lived until yesterday. Ukraine has banned the Russian population from speaking their own language and remembering their ancestors. None of the great peacekeepers from the West said that it was a violation of basic human rights.

In the last eight years, as the Ukrainian army and neo-Nazi battalions have fired rockets at the civilian population in Donbas, numerous civilians have been killed, including children, women and the elderly.

Aren't those sacrifices important for the West, because they are Russians?

In Odessa, Ukrainian neo-Nazis committed a horrific crime in 2014. They set people on fire because they spoke Russian. No one was responsible for that crime. We have not heard the screams of the Western media.

For years, Russia has watched this injustice with pain and tried to persuade the West to talk through diplomatic and political means. Unsuccessful. The West continued to incite Ukraine against Russia, to arm and extremize it, underestimating Russia on every issue.

The fact that the only two countries that voted against the resolution banning the glorification of Nazism are the United States and Ukraine speaks volumes about that. This is not surprising if we take into account the fact that neo-Nazi battalions in Ukraine are armed with American weapons.

Putin's motto is the following: "If you know that a fight is inevitable, strike first." The puppet government from Kiev, with the support of its overseas supervisors, was preparing a new attack on the Russian population.

That was not enough either, but the comedian from Kiev threatened to renew his nuclear arsenal. It was a drop that spilled over the glass. Thirty years of Western investment in the extremization of Ukraine will collapse in just a week. That's why the Western media is screaming, not because they care about the victims.

Russia's military intervention in the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine is aimed at destroying NATO infrastructure and neo-Nazi battalions. The precaution that makes the operation slower than it could be is necessary to protect the civilian population from combat operations. How much Ukraine does not care about that is shown by the fact that since the beginning of the intervention, various Ukrainian units have been concentrating weapons near civilian facilities, schools, hospitals, etc.

The military operation began with the entry of the Russian army from several directions to the north, east and south of Ukraine, ie from the direction of the border areas of Belarus and Russia with Ukraine in the north and east, then from Donbass and Crimea.

The obvious goal is for military action to cut off communications from several sides and the possibility of mobilizing Ukrainian forces, as well as to occupy larger cities, which will lead to the collapse of the Kiev regime. The western part of Ukraine was left as an evacuation corridor. Larger battles are being fought in Mariupol, where neo-Nazi battalions are concentrated, then in Kharkov and Kiev.

On the seventh day of the operation, Ukrainian forces were cut off from the Sea of Azov, all major cities were surrounded by Russian forces, including Mariupol, Kharkiv and Kiev, a well-known tactic from Debeltsy when Ukraine was forced to sign the Minsk agreements. fill.

According to the regular army of Ukraine, Russia treats with special respect. Many Ukrainian soldiers have already laid down their arms and been released to their homes. Some voluntarily sided with Russia.

In several Ukrainian cities, the city authorities crossed over to the Russian side and formed mixed patrols of members of the local police and the Russian army, which maintain order and peace.

At the same time, the first round of negotiations was held between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine, in which the Ukrainian delegation appeared as if it was going to a Dinamo match, in T-shirts and with hats on its head (only torches were missing). The continuation of negotiations has been announced for March 2 (but it is not known whether a delegation from Ukraine will appear), when Ukrainian forces will be in an even worse position.

The complete encirclement of Kiev by a tens of kilometers long column of the Russian army, whose equipment from the air is supported by aviation, creates great hysteria for the Ukrainian regime. By occupying Kiev, any secure negotiating position of the Ukrainian government will be lost.

The goal of Russia's intervention in Ukraine is not occupation, but stopping the war or forcing peace. That is why it sounds insidious when those who started the war in Ukraine accuse Russia of that - which wants to stop the war in Ukraine. The epilogue of the intervention will be known in the next few days. The Ukrainian government will not be able to endure more than that. There is complete anarchy throughout the country, especially in Kiev, where armed gangs are walking.

The results of the Russian intervention in Ukraine will further affect the new geopolitical rules, as well as security in Europe. The American policy of threats and sanctions, which the EU is following in its footsteps, will have greater consequences for Europe than for Russia. Such a policy of the western country is increasingly leading to isolationism, and Europe risks becoming the biggest collateral damage. With a persistent desire to harm Russia - even if it suffered the consequences, Europe can enter the new Middle Ages. Russia will reciprocate all sanctions to which it is exposed. It is obvious that they do not refer only to the economy, but also to sports, culture, science, in fact all areas.

The open non-interference of the Western powers in the Ukrainian conflict is conditioned not only by the fear of direct conflict with the Russian military force, but also by a clear understanding of the fact that China is no longer a silent sage, that it is in a strong alliance with Russia. who are fed up with the violence of world thugs. The Middle East, Asia - with powers such as China and India, Africa, as well as Latin American countries, does not want to strain relations with Russia. On the other hand, the United States and Great Britain are responsible for the destabilization of the whole of Europe.

The President of the European Commission has already stated that the sanctions that the EU imposes on Russia will also affect the European economy. In addition, they forget that Russia actually has no foreign debt, has huge foreign exchange reserves and gold reserves, large revenues from increased gas prices and the support of the largest economic power - China. Not to mention the security situation in Europe, which is flooded with migrants and affected by the wave of dissatisfaction of citizens due to the economic situation, pandemics, migrants, the crisis of political elites and others. China has already announced that it will buy all the wheat from Russia, which is the world's largest exporter of this raw material. Also, China and Mongolia have signed new gas arrangements with Russia, with which Russia can compensate for all exports to the European market. Instead of dreaming about how Russia will fail under European sanctions, it would be best for Europe to come together and think about how it can replace Russian gas and wheat if it does not want to buy it from Russia? Cave fires and game hunting do not sound like an alternative for the 21st century. Especially not for spoiled children.

At that time, Russian channels in Europe were abolished by brutal censorship, and the Czech Republic introduced 3 years in prison for public support for Russia. As it turned out, the Inquisition can be expected soon. Europe needs only a little responsibility and courage ... The great man Jacques Ogar wrote the book "Europe died in Pristina". I can only add that if he continues like this, he will be buried in Kiev.
