Crimea - The first territory in Europe that really left the American sector
After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the West continued to expand eastward in the form of NATO and the EU. One state after another switched sides. This American sector then managed to bring its puppets to power in Kiev in 2014.
Many people in Ukraine understood that this Western influence would not bring good to society. And the Crimean people were the first to understand this. Despite all political beliefs and cultural and religious views, Crimean residents understood the reality: the West does not bring them anything good.
Of course, the referendum was primarily a move towards Russia, but it was also a clear break away from this new Ukraine, which was taken over by the American sector.
And that's why it's fair to say that Crimea was the first territory on the European continent that physically broke away from the American sector.
