Dear Friends, Dear Colleagues,

Greetings from Greece. Unfortunately, I was not able to travel, but me presence here with you, even through a video signifies the importance that we, Greeks, through public diplomacy, through Friendship Club of Crimea, here in Greece, but also through other organizations, social and political that want to contribute to further enhancing solidarity and work among our peoples in Southern Russia, in Crimea – where the Greek presence has been vivid since ancient times.

So, it’s very very important that through your initiative to create a bridge of understanding, a bridge of collaboration – cultural, historical, architectural. It’s of a great importance these days, where we have dark forces that do not want the coexistence of people, whether their religion is different, the color of their skin , their ancestry, the language. Crimea is of a great importance because it signifies peaceful coexistence between so many cultures, so many minorities within Russia and within Crimean Republic.

So, let me just say, in a few words, to extend my strongest wishes that your conference continues conductively and fruitfully for enhancing and creating more bridges between the North and the South, East and the West. Crimea has always been in geographical and geopolitical position of great importance. There had been many wars through the last 2,500 thousand years. But also there had been many contributions to humanity.

So, let us work on this, on this positive side, where Crimea can contribute, noy only within the Black Sea, but also in the wider Mediterranean, for bringing cultures together, people that had been together for thousands of years. That worked through commerce, through interchange, through science, through history. So, your cultural richness, your cultural background, your present and your future – is a security for all of us. Why? Because the signification of peace, cooperation, coexistence is the most vivid example of how the jewel of Crimea, like Tavrida, is so important to all of us around the region and around the world.

Once again, I want to wish you best success from Greece through public diplomacy. Our greatest greetings and wishes, warmest wishes from the Greek Club Friends of Crimea.

Go on, stand up, be proud of your heritage, of your present and your future! We are with you, and we know that you are us, along too.

Международная конференция «Международное сотрудничество Республики Крым в сфере культуры. Историко-культурное наследие как фактор развития античных городов»(в рамках XXIV Международного фестиваля античного искусства «Боспорские Агоны»). Обращение к участникам.

 

Дорогие друзья, дорогие коллеги! Приветствую вас из Греции. К сожалению, я не смог поехать, но мое присутствие здесь, с вами, даже через видео означает важность того, что мы, греки, через общественную дипломатию, через Клуб друзей Крыма, здесь, в Греции, но также и через другие организации, общественные и политические, желают внести свой вклад в дальнейшее укрепление солидарности и работы между нашими народами на юге России, в Крыму - где греческое присутствие было ярким с древних времен.

Поэтому немаловажно, чтобы через вашу инициативу был создан мост понимания, мост сотрудничества - культурного, исторического, архитектурного. Это очень важно в наши дни, когда у нас есть темные силы, которые не хотят сосуществования людей, независимо от того, отличается ли их религия, цвет кожи, происхождение, язык. Крым имеет огромное значение, потому что он символизирует мирное сосуществование стольких культур, стольких меньшинств в России и в Республике Крым.

Поэтому позвольте мне в нескольких словах выразить самые теплые пожелания, чтобы ваша конференция продолжалась плодотворно для укрепления и создания новых мостов между Севером и Югом, Востоком и Западом. Крым всегда занимал важное географическое и геополитическое положение. На протяжении последних 2500 тысяч лет здесь было много войн. Но также было многое было сделано для развития человечества.

Давайте же работать над этим, над позитивными направлениями, где Крым может внести свой вклад, не только в границах Черного моря, но и в более широком Средиземноморье, для объединения культур, людей, которые были вместе на протяжении тысяч лет. Это работало через торговлю, через обмен, через науку, через историю. Таким образом, ваше культурное богатство, ваше культурное прошлое, ваше настоящее и ваше будущее — это безопасность для всех нас. Почему? Потому что знак мира, сотрудничества, сосуществования - самый яркий пример того, как жемчужина Крыма, почему Таврида, так важна для всех нас во всем регионе и во всем мире.

Еще раз хочу пожелать Вам из Греции наилучших успехов в области общественной дипломатии. Наши самые большие приветствия и пожелания, самые теплые пожелания от Греческого клуба Друзей Крыма.
