BRAKE ON THE ESCALATION OF THE WAR

Blinken's visit to Greece comes at a time when the U.S., NATO and their allies are constantly escalating on the Ukrainian Front. The constant arms shipments, the undermining of any negotiating effort, the escalation of the economic war of sanctions, as well as the open acts of terrorist sabotage, such as the blowing up of the Nord Stream pipeline in the Baltic, clearly show that for the NATO camp the war in Ukraine, not only has no prospect of ending, but was also the product of a planned escalation.

The Mitsotakis government has turned the country into a Transit Center for NATO weapons and troops through the Alexandroupolis base, while in the rest of the country, military (e.g. Souda) and civilian (e.g. Piraeus) infrastructure are used for NATO operations, on the side of the Zelenskiy government, which relies openly on fascist battalions, type of Azov. At the same time, new, nightmarish prospects open up for even greater involvement of the country in the NATO escalation plan. The Mitsotakis government is in the process of negotiating exchanges to agree to the massive shipment of Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine, while at the same time, Greek army personnel are being sent to Ukraine to train personnel of the pro-fascist government of Kiev, as part of missions of the EU.E.

The Greek people, like the rest of the peoples of Europe, are not just faced with the possibility of an uncontrolled escalation of the war. They are living on a daily basis in their own pockets the cost of the proxy war waged by the governments of NATO countries. The ARMS Party Continues without end, with the arms industries profiteering brazenly. Punctuality and inflation have plagued people's incomes, with energy costs skyrocketing after the Russian gas cutoff and the remaining sanctions on Russian hydrocarbons and Russian grain.

The continuous escalation that the USA, NATO and their European allies are attempting can only find an obstacle from the peoples of Europe and a peaceful and anti-imperialist movement, which will put the brakes on the constant armament missions, of an increasingly lethal and ever longer range, as well as the continuation of the economic war, whose cost is being loaded on the popular classes of Europe and Greece.

The pro-war Mitsotakis government will continue to drag the people and the country deeper and deeper into the war plans, as long as it finds no resistance in Parliament and in the street.

The Blinken visit should sound the alarm. His pursuit of the so - called" Strategic Dialogue "between the US and Greece will only bring additional financial burden to the world of work and youth, with new armaments and new commitments to sanctions -"suicide". It will further deepen the country's involvement in NATO's plans and turn the whole country into a vast NATO base, a base of warmongers.

It's time to break the inertia. The people and the youth have no business bleeding, starving and freezing for the US, NATO and the Greek oligarchy.
